Cookie policy

What we store on your device, why, how long for, and how to switch the optional ones off. Short version: we use the minimum needed to make the site work, plus optional analytics that load only after you consent.

Effective: 29 April 2026Version: 2026.04

The cookie list below is the canonical inventory. If you find a cookie set by our site that isn't on it, write to [email protected] and we'll fix the page.

  1. 01What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file a website saves to your device. It lets the site remember things between page loads — your country choice, that you are signed in, that you have dismissed a banner. Similar technologies (local storage, session storage, pixels, and SDKs in the mobile app) work the same way for the same purposes; this policy covers all of them and we’ll just call them “cookies” for short.

We use a small, deliberately minimal set. No third-party advertising cookies. No cross-site tracking. Optional cookies only load after you say yes.

  2. 02Categories we use

We group cookies into four categories. The first is required to make the site work; the rest are optional and load only after consent.

    • Strictly necessary — routing, security, language, and your country preference. The site does not function without these. They cannot be turned off in our consent banner because there is no version of 555 that runs without them, but you can still block all cookies in your browser.
    • Preferences — small choices we remember so you do not have to set them again, like dark mode, accept-language, and your selected language switcher value.
    • Analytics — privacy-respecting product analytics we use to understand which pages help and which do not. Off by default; loaded asynchronously after consent. We aggregate the data and do not use it to identify you.
    • Marketing — used only for measuring the effectiveness of campaigns we run on partner platforms (e.g. conversion pixels). Off by default; loaded only after consent. Not used to build profiles of you across other websites.
  3. 03Specific cookies we set

The table below is the source-of-truth list. We update it whenever the set changes.

_meta_* / _tt_*Marketing (optional)Conversion measurement for ad campaigns we run, only on the landing pages those campaigns point at. Disabled unless consented.Up to 13 months
  4. 04Mobile-app SDKs

The 555 mobile apps don’t use HTTP cookies, but they include a handful of SDKs that serve similar purposes: secure session storage, push-token management, crash reporting, and (post-consent) product analytics. These are listed in the in-app Privacy Centre and you can toggle the optional ones at any time.

  5. 05How to control cookies

    • Our consent banner— accept all, reject all optional, or pick categories. Re-open it any time from the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer.
    • Browser settings — every modern browser lets you block or delete cookies. Doing so may break sign-in or your country/language preference.
    • Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control — when your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a refusal of optional cookies for that visit.
    • Mobile — manage opt-ins in the in-app Privacy Centre, or use your OS-level limit-ad-tracking setting.
  6. 06Sharing data set by cookies

Optional analytics and marketing cookies share data with the named providers above for the named purposes only. We do not sell or rent this data. The full vendor list and the safeguards we apply are in our Privacy Policy.

  7. 07Changes to this policy

We update this policy whenever the set of cookies changes. The effective date and version above is the source of truth. Material changes are reflected in the consent banner and may prompt a re-consent on your next visit.
